If you were to speak with some of our customers, and ask them, what it is like to work with DTE, you would hear responses like “very nice to work with” and “everyone there is friendly”. While we certainly appreciate their feelings, we think maybe you might like to know why our employees treat our customers the way they do.
 
A big part of the answer has to do with our company culture. As a second-generation family-owned business, we place a lot of importance on family.
 
This heritage is from our father, Thomas E. Horvath. Our father always promoted the value of family and the importance of treating customers as family. We think it is essential to have employees, who feel comfortable working in a family-oriented culture, and whose character will find it easy to treat customers like family as well; our DTE employees fit the bill.
 
However, treating employees like family has to be more than just words if it is to have any meaning. At DTE, when we built our new North American facility, we wanted to ensure our employees had a clean and safe work environment. We employed a full time janitor, whose sole job is to keep the plant “hospital clean”. In order to make the work area as safe as possible, we installed an extensive ventilation system, overhead lifting cranes and located all noise generating machinery into soundproof rooms.
 
For us, the growth of DTE business will never be at the expense of our customers, or our employees. We hope that you share these same values and will like the idea of working with people like us. We know that we truly can exceed your expectations and look forward to serving you.
 
The founding leader of the dynamic company is no longer with us. However, his vision of the highest values of integrity, honesty and quality are still alive.
